The Block is a locally owned 48-unit townhouse complex located just half a mile from the University of Maine in Orono in a private setting. We consist of eight buildings with six two-bedroom town houses in each building. Heat, water, sewer, trash removal, two parking spaces in front of your unit, landscaping and plowing are all included! A visitor parking lot is onsite for additional parking.

The townhouse includes a fully equipped brand-new stainless steel kitchen appliances (dishwasher, refrigerator, range and microwave) with pantry, private extra-large bedroom with two large closets (12×15), private large bedroom with closet (10×12), spacious living room with sliding door connecting to an outside patio, full bath with linen closet, microwave, refrigerator, and a full basement with storage space and a washer and dryer hookup. (1500 SQ FT including basement)

We are located only .4 miles away from the University of Maine, there are many things to do in our neighborhood! We are located right off of Park Street. Take a quick right, and you will be able to enjoy drinks and freshly made pizza at our favorite college spot, Orono House of Pizza (OHOP), get groceries at The Local, enjoy hand rolled bagels from Bill’s Bagels and hand-made donuts from the Donut GroVe. Take a left, and you’ll be on your way to get a fresh brewed coffee at Aroma Joe’s!

The Block is one of the best management companies I've rented from. They have created an atmosphere of respect by acting with complete professionalism, being kind and honest. One thing I appreciate the most is their communication skills. They respond as quickly as they can and it shows that they are there to help with whatever it may be. The apartments have a great layout. They are spacious with three floors, two good size bedrooms, a full bathroom and a large living area and kitchen, there is also a large unfinished basement for storage. I am so happy I decided to live here for my last year at UMaine and I wish I signed a lease sooner. The apartments are so spacious with two floors and a basement, and the rent is very affordable for the space we are given. It really feels like a home with my own parking spot out front, lawn space, and cozy, clean living areas. The landlords at this apartment complex are always friendly and very prompt when replying to emails or texts regarding the apartments. If I wasn't graduating, I definitely would have resigned my lease!
