How do I sign a lease?
To sign a lease at The Block, you will begin with filling out an application. Once you have completed the application and are approved, you will be eligible to sign a lease. We require every resident to have a guarantor or pay a $50.00 nonrefundable fee for The Block to run a credit check. A guarantor form is included in the rental application.
You can either sign your lease in person or electronically.
What are the rates?
Rates begin at $750.00/bedroom per month. Typically, the earlier your sign your lease, the better chance you have for securing this lower rate! Security Deposit is due at signing.

What is due at the lease signing?
The tenant will provide the security deposit at the signing of the lease.
How long is the lease agreement?
All leases last for 1 year, beginning the date of move-in.
What size units does The Block offer?
The Block offers two-bedroom multi-level town houses. Each unit is 1500 square feet. Each bedroom has one or two personal closets. Bedrooms are 12×15 and 10×12.
What does my monthly installment include?
Your monthly rent includes average usage fees of heat, water and sewer. Trash removal, snow removal, plowing and landscaping is included. The tenant is responsible for electricity and internet/cable.
How do overages work?
The property manager will take the average usage from all 48 units per billing period. If your unit is over the average usage, you will be charged the difference. Heating bill is monthly, water and sewer bills are quarterly.
When is the monthly installment due?
Rent is due on the first of every month. A 4% late fee (of your monthly installment) will be charged on the 15th of that month.
Are animals allowed?
The block does not allow animals.
Do you have visitor parking?
We do have an additional parking lot for visitor parking.
When do you start signing leases for the following school year?
We begin giving tours to new tenants starting in October.
